The country’s TVET education and training policy has already set a general directive of 30 % theoretical and 70 % practical training. Kombolcha Agricultural College is, thus, trying its level best to meet such a mode of training as it helps to transferring scientific knowledge and skills to our trainees. To this effect, the college is trying to support the theoretical with practical sessions using laboratories organized in each department, its demonstration sites, the college’s farm land and other nearby collaborative enterprises to equip trainees with practical skills.

The college has two farms used both as a practical demonstration sites and income generation as well. These farms are found off–college in Harbu and Medhanealem sites, and detailed situation and practical works concerning the areas are presented here.
